Many people mistakenly view the use of psychedelics as a modern trend, developed to combat the stresses of modern life.
But the history of ‘magic mushrooms’ is infinitely richer and more profound.
It’s use goes back thousands of years and it was a woman who introduced it back into our present-day culture.
María Sabina was born in the Mazatec region of Mexico in 1894, where psilocybin mushrooms, known as ‘little saints,’ were deeply rooted in indigenous customs.
Her grandfather and great-grandfather were shamans, skilled in using mushrooms to communicate with God, according to their beliefs.
From the age of 8, María developed an intuitive knowledge of these mushrooms.
She would collect them and use them as a form of spiritual connection and a means to heal.
Our goal is to reconnect with her ancient practices and bring her wisdom to modern women who need it now more than ever before.
To alleviate the fatigue of modern life.
To reconnect with their spirit and feel more like themselves.
To push back against the constant pressure of society’s expectations.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of myths and misconceptions that surround the world of psychedelics.
